When the word halal is mentioned people assume that it mean sliting an animals throat?
In fact Muslims beleive that halal is a way of life, a lifestyle according to the teaching of prophet Mohammed (PBUH) and contuct their every day life according to gods law as prescribed in the Quran.
and if you know the difference between halal and haram you will go to janath.
so How do you see Halal?

recently i created a page on the facebook 'You are what you eat', with the aims to create awareness of the halal meat industry.
ReplyDeletefact over 80% of meat destined for the halal market is stunned.
Muslims and Jews are exempt from stunning (definition of religious method of slaughter)
Muslims must ask themselves: Why do we need to settle for something that is surrounded by doubt, when we are allowed under the law to produce and consume the true halal as prescribed by the divine power.
• Almost all of the scholars of Fiqh, Tafsir and Hadith have confirmed – either implicitly or explicitly – that, the default ruling is that meat and poultry is haram to consume until it is confirmed that the process of Zabihah has met these minimum conditions:-
• Slaughtered by hand by a Muslim or an ‘Ahl-Kitaab’, i.e., a person of the book who is practicing sincerely his or her Biblical faith.
• The animal is conscious and alive at the time of Zabihah
• The Tasmiyah (in the name of Of One god - God is Great said in Arabic) is recited individually at the time of the Zabihah.
Over 80% halal produced in the UK is covert ...WHY?
ReplyDeleteAnyone following the Islamophobhic campaign in last year’s media leading up to the implementation of the new legislation for animal welfare at the point of slaughter, could be forgiven for thinking that Muslims were on mass campaign to convert Britain to Islam with covert halal.
The press hysteria Britain goes halal... but no-one tells the public the truth: How famous institutions serve ritually slaughtered meat without any warning. The daily mail leading on the scare mongering tactics which has alarmed and knocked the community relation nation for six and house lords into boycotting halal.
They failed to highlight real issue of 'Covert Halal'
The truth maybe hard to digest for the proponents of covert halal and anti halal campaigners.
Naved Syed Board member of EBLEX Halal steering Group said "The main problem with halal meat and poultry industry here in the UK is that so many companies are doing covert halal".
Birmingham City Councils Recent finding have detected PORK in the chicken Burgers, even though it is Muslim owned company it doesn’t make the FOOD FRAUD and the contamination issue any less serious.
Humza Food claimed that their burgers and sausages were being manufactured by Penny Lane in Somerset who are not a dedicated halal plant.
By using these plants this problem will continue; with more and more school and colleges finding pork and Haram contamination in their halal products.
The fact of the matter is that Most covert halal companies in the UK do not take the manufacturing and processing of halal products seriously, another hard fact if they are prepared to deceive their own community who detest halal, then they wouldn't think twice of deceiving the Muslims.
Even the fail safe system such as BRC certification have had Horse meat and PORK DNA in their products and not forgetting Halal Food Authority (HFA) who brought whole halal industry into disrupt, where last month they had certified halal pies and pasties in the prison services (HMPS) with trace of Pork in their products, so certification is no guarantee.
It appear that the ONLY segment of the meat industry that has not be contaminated by Pork or Horse meat is the Muslim butchers, as all their sourcing of meat and poultry is local for this reason have ear marked as the most trusted by all communities.
it is time to cease the opportunity of driving the local economy development and rural regeneration for the British farming community by purchase local produced product which is why Halal is pivotal for both for the rural farming community and local and national economy.
Halal market is seen as creating jobs were they are most needed
ANSA's (Associations for non stun Abattoirs) policy for halal has always been to work only with dedicated Halal plants and source locally produced products for the benefit of the British farming community.
The solution for the UK halal meat and poultry here in the UK is an ethical and moral issue which has to be addressed as a matter of urgency, firstly by putting an end to covert halal, and secondly regulating the industry. This can be achieved by adopting the Guidance notes issues on halal food as issued by Food standard Agency (FSA) which forms the lowest common denominator for halal.
More meat and poultry is produced as covert halal than ever before which may act as a spanner in the works for a cohesive community and is creating hostilities in the communities, as more and more in the community are been forced to consume halal without been told.
Respectfully all communities have a right to know where their meat is coming from and how it was processed. Any processor doing covert halal has no respect for its fellow community and cannot be trusted.
